Home Maintenance

Practical upkeep for the parts of your home that need attention, starting with a clear look at the job.

Start With the Things That Have Changed

A useful maintenance list describes specific problems, not just “check the house.” Note the room or side of the home, when the issue started, and whether it happens all the time or only with rain or use.

Amore's core cleaning work covers dryer vents and gutters. Maintenance, cleaning, repair, and replacement requests can be discussed together, with the work confirmed before a visit.

A Home Maintenance Rhythm That Makes Sense

After Winter

Look from the ground for loose gutter sections, changed downspouts, and places where water is collecting near the house. Note any problem that appeared during cold weather.

Through Spring & Summer

Check drainage after seed drop and strong storms. Inside, pay attention to changes in dryer performance rather than waiting for the next scheduled cleaning.

During Fall

Keep leaf buildup on the list, especially after the trees around your home have shed. A gutter cleaning before leaf drop is over may not last through the season.

All Year

Clean the dryer lint screen with each load and keep a record of vent cleaning, gutter work, and repairs. Dates and photos make recurring problems easier to spot.

Not Every Job Should Wait in the Same Queue

A cosmetic mark and a new water problem should not get the same priority.

Put changes in function first: repeated overflow, unusually long drying times, visible damage, or a connection that has come loose. Keep appearance-only work on a separate list so the immediate concern does not get lost in a longer project.

If something returns soon after cleaning or repair, keep the earlier service date and a photo handy. A recurring symptom is useful information; it may point to a different cause.

Planning the Work

Can I Bring Several Jobs to the Same Conversation?

Yes. Send one list and mark the most important item. Vito can discuss which requests fit Amore and whether it makes sense to arrange them together. A list is helpful even if every item is not ready to schedule.

Do I Need a Recurring Maintenance Plan?

Not necessarily. Start with the condition of your home and any overdue cleaning. Keep a simple record of what was done and when, then use the results to decide what needs regular attention.

What If I Am Not Sure Whether Something Needs Cleaning or Repair?

Describe what you notice. For example, a backed-up gutter may have debris in it, while a loose section may need a repair. You do not need to diagnose the problem before contacting Amore.
